A 19th-century firehouse on Louisville's Bardstown Road, adapted as offices for engineering firm Shrout Tate Wilson. The original Italianate brick, the Engine Co. 7 medallion, and the engine-bay openings preserved.
Inside, exposed brick and a cast-iron spiral stair carry the firehouse character forward. The original engine-bay openings were reglazed in glass — a working past, daylit.
The original building is allowed to speak first.
More photography coming soon.
